With Digital Cash Payments, users can make payments to merchants by sending any chosen amount of money from a selected funding source to any merchant in just a few taps. Users can select merchants from a list in the app, sorted by location, search criteria, or by scanning a QR code. A digital receipt is received for each purchase.
Merchants do not require any hardware whatsoever to accept these on-site payments. They can simply validate payments visually by checking a proof of payment on the consumer’s phone. Merchants also have the option of being notified when payments are received in their merchant console as an extra validation measure.
All payments made with the consumer app include compliant digital receipts made readily available within the app.
The system collects and manages a wide variety of user data, ranging from customer identity to transaction history. Before, during and after a transaction, data points such as loyalty ID, name, address, balance and purchase history can be shared.
This data can be used by the merchant to create personalised shopping experiences and automate future interactions. Users are, however, free to turn on/off sharing permissions for individual merchants (and for specific data points) inside the consumer app.
Digital Cash Payments are organised in a multimedia messaging interface, where users have a complete overview of all interactions with each merchant. This includes transactions, chat conversations, order statuses, receipts, coupons, offers and more.
The consumer app supports any funding source, including accounts, cards, lines of credit and prepaid. Users can add, remove, rename, edit and change all funding sources at their disposal from one consolidated view.
Visual display of personal data associated with each user, including name, mobile phone number, email and address. Settings include funding source preferences, spending limits, notifications, touch-ID activation and a variety of other display and application settings.
Users can simply invite any number of selected friends from their contact list, delivered as a personalised SMS with download links. The invite system also features monetary marketing incentives with commission payouts.
